MAJETE WILDLIFE RESERVE | LIWONDE NATIONAL PARK | LAKE MALAWI
ARRIVE / DEPART: BLANTYRE / LILONGWE

INCLUDES All transfers by road and air starting in Blantyre and ending in Lilongwe, accommodation on a full board basis, local drinks, activities (except motorized water sports) and laundry.
Excludes International Flights, Visas, Tips, Soft and Alcoholic drinks bottled water, snacks, souvenirs, Laundry, Travel Insurance, Nairobi accommodation, optional activities and any item of personal nature.

Day 1

On arrival at Blantyre Airport you will be met by our guide. Drive from Blantyre Airport to Mkulumadzi.
Meals and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2 - 3

Activities include game-drives, boating safaris, bush walks, hiking Majete Hill, black rhino tracking, cultural tours, birding trips on the Shire River and game-viewing from a hide.
Guests are free to be as energetic or as idle as they please although at least one activity per day is encouraged to best enjoy Majete.  

Day 4

After breakfast and farewells, you will be transferred to the Lodge by road transfer, approximately a 4 hour journey. Liwonde National Park is considered to be one of the top birding locations in Southern Africa.

Day 5 - 6

The lodge has a swimming pool, sun deck and al fresco dining platform overlooking the river and lagoon. Your stay is on a full board basis, including the game activities, which centre on game drives by day and by night in open vehicles, walks and boat safaris, a unique activity at Mvuu.

Day 7

Transfer to Pumulani after breakfast, by either driving or if the roads are wet, then boating to Liwonde to pick up the vehicle. You’ll reach the Nankumba Peninsula of Lake Malawi.
This is recognised as one of the most beautiful shores of the Lake and borders Lake Malawi National Park. At the end of the day climb aboard our dhow and let our experienced local crewmen take you sailing into the sunset.

Day 8 - 10

Lake Malawi is the world’s most ecologically diverse lake. Its crystal clear waters are home to more than a thousand species of fish and hundreds of species of colourful cichlids.
Special diving courses are offered here at the best diving spots near one of the islands.
You can enjoy guided walks through one of the local villages during your stay to meet with the local Malawian people or simply relax or enjoy the many other activities available.

Day 11

Transfer to Monkey Bay, fly to Lilongwe for your connecting flight.
