Mchenja Bush Camp comprises of 5 stylish designed octagonally shaped tents en- suite with Victorian style baths having River views each under thatch roofing. The all overlook the Luangwa River on decks. This is Norman Carr Safaris’ most luxurious Camp. It is set in a towering grove of ebony trees. The tents all have mosquito windows with curtains.

The camp architecture is cleverly designed around a fallen ebony tree, utilising the truck as the support for the roof. The dining and lounge is in the main area along with a plunge pool to cool you off on hot days. You can also sit around the fire pit in the cool evenings looking at the stars.

Game is remarkable with great areas such as Lion Plain and Fish Eagle Lagoon being close. Lions and leopard sightings are a common occurrence. Guests are free to chose a walk or drive. However if you wish to walk we highly recommend the cooler parts of the day – early morning.

Children under 12 are not accepted at the camp due to the walking age restrictions. Aged 12-16 are allowed to walk if accompanied by parent or guardian.
