Tarangire Simba Lodge is a place where African safari dreams are turned into a reality more beautiful than it’s possible to imagine.

Wake up to a wonderful world of wildlife on the shores of Lake Burunge. In the shade of an ancient Baobab tree, sip a sundowner while you watch elephants strip leaves from the bush, a herd of giraffe ambling by or colonies of pink flamingos feeding in the waters. This is just a glimpse of what you may expect if you spend time at this very special Tanzanian lodge.

Located close to Tarangire National Park, Tarangire Simba Lodge is right next to a Wildlife Management Area. Local villagers have taken on the task of conserving the land and the animals which migrate across its plains or live there year-round—buffalo, impala, ostriches, lions, zebra, wildebeest, warthogs, bushbucks, mongoose, monkeys, porcupine—all there for your delight along with the elephants and giraffe, not to mention the prolific and vibrant birdlife.

The accommodation is second-to-none, with classic canvas safari tents constructed on wooden platforms each with en-suite facilities as well as an outdoor shower, and a private veranda with views to the bush. All of this is topped with a thatched roof, complementing rather than intruding on the natural environment. Solar power provides both electricity and hot water. Furnishings are handcrafted from African hardwood decorated with glorious local fabrics.

A stylish reception area and separate lounge and dining room, including a deck for outdoor dining, are connected by wooden walkways. Wi-Fi is available in these areas so you can wow friends and family with your stunning photos without delay. In addition to a large swimming pool there is a tree-top viewing platform built in a stately acacia tree for wildlife watching and star gazing. Sublime!
