Gonarezhou National Park is not for first time safari goers. The less explored park needs a minimum of 3 nights stay to enjoy the bio diversity of plant and animal life. Perfect for an intimate private safari where you will hardly see any vehicles. The lodge offers great walking safaris which can be done while camping out in the wilderness. The tents are all en suite semi luxury with hot and cold running water offering you full bush experience. The park is famous for its herds of Elephants, birding and butterlies.
Re opened in 2012, Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge is perched high above the Save River in the south eastern corner of Zimbabwe. The Lodge offers a fantastic range of activities and incredible game viewing in Gonarezhou National Park.
The main camp consists of ten king or twin chalets furnished in locan Shangaan style and all en-suite . All the rooms overlook the Save River below from private balconies. Rooms are equipped with mosquito netting, tea and coffee making facilities and a minibar.
Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge caters for all ages. Children’s beds and cots are available on request. It is important to note that this area of the country is a particularly wild big game safari area. The Animals are more wild and not so used to people.
