Hwange was once a Royal hunting ground of the Ndebele Kings and has long been known for its abundance of wildlife particularly Elephant, Buffalo. It is also one of the best places to see lion, leopards and African wild dogs.

A perfect place for a group friends or family wanting a private break. Tom’s Little Hide is a beautiful authentic safari house 5 km from the Hide. Tom’s Hide is booked exclusively and has its own private guide and vehicle giving you full freedom. The contemporary African design leaves you awe inspired. It is made up of 3 large adjacent rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms overlooking the waterhole. The bedrooms are each individually decorated and furnished with solid Zimbabwean teak furniture. All rooms have mosquito – proofed and have fans for warmer days.

A total of 10 guests- 6 adults and 4 children can stay at Tom’s Little Hide.

2 Rooms have double en suite bathrooms and can accommodate one child on a roomy day bed. The bedrooms are linked by a dining room and an outside verandah and a splash pool. 1 Family tent has a outside bathroom and inter leading children’s room which can accommodate 2 children.

Private Hide is where time stands still. With 360 degree views, ancient elephant trails meander alongside and infront of the site. The Private Hide provides spectacular outdoor living room where you experience the animal and birdlife away from everything. Here you can dine exclusively and relax in the confortable armchairs and have your sundowner around the camp fire. The tents accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and have en-suite bathrooms with in door bath, indoor and outdoor shower.

Dove’s Nest is the little secret where you are away from it all. Overlooking the open tree-lined vlei and pan where giraffe and elephants commonly roam and come to drink. This is a experience for 2 guests. The bedroom of the Dove’s Nest is reached by a wooden stairway and with a closeable door. You will not have to forego your hot shower and warm bed and the location is second to none.

As you lie on your bed you can watch the birds hopping about in the canopy of your tree through the wood slatted windows. Laze on the swinging hammock as animals wonder by. Have a sundowner watching the glowing sunset before your exclusive private bush dinner before heading of to bed. Admittedly it is not for the faint hearted. However the experience will be a memorable night out.
