Umang and Beena Gossain were both born in Tanzania, raised by the rhythm of the bush and the pulse of the wild. For Umang, the Serengeti was more than a playground – it was a classroom, a sanctuary, and the spark that lit a lifelong passion for wildlife and wide-open spaces. His fascination with nature began in childhood and never left.
Beena grew up in Dar es Salaam, captivated by the quiet, untouched corners of southern Tanzania. Her love for Africa was instinctive – a curiosity that quickly evolved into a career in travel, where she and Umang eventually crossed paths. What began as a shared love for wild places became a shared life purpose: to connect others with the magic of Africa.
Together, Umang and Beena bring over three decades of regional expertise across operations, guiding, bookings, and sustainable tourism. Their deep understanding of the continent – and the relationships they’ve built within it – form the heart of Ubon Safari.
